These are some ideas Jonathan & I talked over last night (& this morning). The main table being long, narrow and mobile. In the kitchen, it becomes the counter. A few hotplates designate one area as the stove top. A simple door on wheels can be used as such, or can become a refrigerator when placed in front of a shelf unit. The bottom portion can be opened separately from the top. Perhaps practical lights or worklights are set by actors for various purposes, maybe as a tv.
Going to start posting more images/videos that give some idea of design for the show.
Lets start out with some intense ones. Click the photos for the 'steel world' of this show, the metal is interesting, sterile. http://www.pigiron.org/production/media/187
Its a little bit hard to see from this video, but they have created an 80's clunky 'open office' environment in which a performance can take place. Theirs is 'semi office', while ours wants to be 'semi house', both are performance settings first I suppose. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eiml0XEK5Yo
just curious about scale of projections and the possibility of a camera mounted above the stage (as is suggested in the 2nd photo). also thinking about the use of vertical blinds (or the like) in a smaller way...
